"The best performance of the night, however, was J. Stone’s beatbox-laden version of “Come Together,” complete with D.J. scratches and Blade Runner–esque ambient noises spitting out of his mouth. But this guy one-upped Blake Lewis by simultaneously beatboxing and singing...you can’t fake that kind of talent."
Most known for his nationwide TV debut as an American Idol Season 9 Finalist, J. Stone began beatboxing in 2001. He performs solo, as one-half of the vocal/beatbox duo Bagels 'n Box, and as collaborator with numerous acts around New York City. He has opened for Jessie J and Buffalo Springfield, performed with DJ Mei-Lwun, Coolooloosh, and Sneakas and wowed crowds from Tel-Aviv to Kathmandu.
Part human beatbox, part live looper, and all world citizen, Stone continues to explore the infinite possibilities of the world's most versatile instrument: the human voice.
